I am the new proud owner of a CD32 and have one very pressing question about
it.
How the heck can I get the thing to switch to PAL mode to display the lower
half of the games?
Please don't tell me I have to get the SX-1 or some other expansion device so
that I can run a PALbooter….is there perhaps a CDROM that already contains a
pal-booter than I can just stick in first…or better yet, is there some sort
of trick during power-up that'll change it to PAL?

Good news! All you have to do to get the CD32 to boot in PAL is to
connect a mouse and hold down both buttons when you reboot. Then select PAL
and boot.

On all AGA Amiga's when you hold down both mouse buttons upon bootup they will
present you with a configuration screen. Just select PAL and best mode
available and as long as your monitor/TV can do PAL your set. Hope that helps.
