Sorry Amiga World, Now I subscribe to VTU and DTVW.
I kinda miss AW so I'll probably re-subscribe. Nice to see whats going on
in the mainstream Amiga apps., but it is kinda thin these days.

Erik:
I agree with the stape binding, Makes me feel I'm getting less
magazine for my money. Maybe they'll extend my subscrition?

It's depressing to see the ad pages go down in gen. Amiga mags like AW
(hence the staple binding). Then you look at VTU (tons of ads,
perfect binding, going to monthly) and you think, hey, the Amiga
(w/toaster anyway) is hot! — Art
Heh, the last time I saw a magazine go to staple binding was the old Antic
Magazine (Atari 8-bit) JUST before bit the dust (along with the 8-bits, I
daresay!). Yeah, VTU looks great (too bad I don't have a VT!<g>).

Speaking of VTU, I just got my "Lee Stranahans 101 Toaster Tips" Book and
5 Things you can do with a Video Toaster Video Tape from them kind folks.
The Book is more of a Pamphlet but as my friend Tommy Time says….

Peter,
How did you get it?!?
I would like to get a copy!
Matt
How'd I get What Matthew?? Sorry I forgot the thread. If you mean the
Pamphlet and Video by Lee Stranahan that was a "Thank You" gift from
the folks at VTU for resubscribing.
Thanks Peter.
I was asking about the 101 tips from Lee S.
So, you answered my question.
Matt
Ahhh Very good. Glad I answered yer question. My poor fried Brain loses
track so easily lately.
Yes this months AW was QUITE thin. Amazing since I believe CD 32 is
now shipping plus the new updates for Software. Perhaps they simply
aren't getting enuff to fill the mag anymore.
Actually, it's the same size as the last couple of issues. Still not
as large as I'd like it to be though…
really, It must be just the new format that makes it looks smaller to me.

Don't worry about your eyes…. It was the first thing I checked when I
got the new issue. 🙂
Steve
Even though AW was stapled, it's still 96 pages + covers. As I
looked through the past 8 months of issued, most were 96 pages. A
few were several pages more, but we haven't lost anything this month
anyway. It just looks like they won't be having any larger issues.
I'd rather see a stapled issue than no issue at all.
I haven't yet recieved the stapled issue but it seems to me that the last
few issues have actually had MORE information and better articles. IMHO,
AW! was never very strong on content except as a general overview but I
felt that had changed a bit lately, for the better.
Damn, those rose coloured glasses are interfering with my sight again!
Andrew
Indeed, I'd rather see a Stapled issue than none at all too. Glad the VTU
keeps Expanding tho.

It's no thinner than before. But they went from perfect-binding to
saddle-stiched binding. Although that makes it easier to leave the
magazine open, it makes it look thinner.

Book? What book? Oh, THAT book!
What's this rumor I heard on the Internet, that if you buy your book, you get a
free A600?
Are you still offering signed versions of your book? If so I would
like to order one. Let me know where to send the check.
I sure am still offering signed versions of BEST AMIGA TIPS AND
SECRETS! They're running a special right now on them, too,
$16.95+2.90 S&H. Just send the order, along with a request for an
autographed copy and who you want it dedicated to, to COMPUTE BOOKS,
Best Amiga Tips Offer, 324 W. Wendover Ave., Ste. 200, Greensboro,
NC 27408. (Check, or Visa/MC) Thanks for the interest!
Hey, Denny… someone told us there was a review of Crits in either
the last or near the last Compute… that so? If so, any way we could
get a copy of the article or the issue?
Sure, you guys should have gotten one when it came out. 🙁 I'll
track down which issue it was in and get you a copy.
Thanks a million, Denny.
Denny…
I'm still waiting on the two copies of your book and another title that I
ordered at the regular price in July. Must be a big book taking lots of
time to print..
By the way that IDE drive I bought from you is running fine…
Eddie.Ski
Eddie,
Did you order them from COMPUTE? Or from a bookstore? If it was from
COMPUTE, you should have had them within two weeks. If it was from
COMPUTE, send email to >internet:casinger@aol.com and let her know
about the problem… Glad the drive's working well!
Thanks, I'll get the check in the mail.
