Effective July 1, 1993 Commodore outsourced it's US support operation to the Service Management Group. The SMG now provides support for all Commodore systems. This support includes on-site and depot repair, both during and after the Commodore warranty year, on a per incident (use it only when you need it) or support agreement (fixed price for one year or longer) basis for both Commodore and third party products; a complete Help Desk to answer questions on both Commodore and third party products; a full service part sales organization, providing spare parts to qualified end users and service centers; an Upgrade and Repair facility to bring your system up to the latest revision, add memory or peripheral devices. SMG ProCare replaces the Commodore Gold Service Program for all new Amiga owners. For more information or to sign up for SMG ProCare contact the SMG at (410) 992-9975. For Part Sales contact the SMG Part Sales Organization at (800) 874-4811. For Technical Support call the SMG Help Desk at (800) 874-4811.

I take it from the message you left, that you are an official representative of SMG. If so, then you are pretty brave in showing up here with Topic headers such as "C= Service Sucks!". I didn't leave the message to start the thread, but there are a few of us who have been participating in discussing how terrible service has been since SMG took over. Myself, I've had a 3.1 processor board on order for my Amiga 4000 since mid June so I could get my 4091 SCSI-II controller to work properly. The repair center did recieve a 3.1 processor board in mid August, but it didn't have the latest PAL revision for U209, which it should have had. So actually I've been waiting almost 5 months to get this problem resolved and SMG certainly hasn't been of much help. If you can help, then it would be much appreciated. But from what I've seen so far, I'm not holding my breath.
