I hope to see some of you at the Los Angeles AmiExpo this weekend. Is there some kind of CIS event planned? I'll be in my booth all weekend, with my company called Syndesis. If we know each other from the networks, please be sure to stop by and chat!

I don't mind if you ask about the InterChange Silver module. I haven't done any work on it for several weeks. Syndesis is a two-programmer company, and we do everything, so it's one thing at a time. So I've been working on the Forms In Flight module before the Silver module. We are shipping it Saturday at AmiExpo. I've been testing the bejesus out of it all this week. We are also shipping our first Syndesis object disk at AmiExpo. Perhaps you can help me with the Silver module, in a way. I think I might have mentioned these things before, but here goes again. My partner doesn't want to release a Silver module unless it converts everything both ways. That means converting Silver solids to triangles or polygons. I'm not fired up about writing those routines, because I'm sure it wouldn't be worth it because the other programs would take forever to render them. Similarly, Silver objects that are made up of several hundred triangles will take a long time to render, too. I can give you some sample triangular Silver objects that come from Sculpt, and you could render them for me… I'm not that good with Silver, and wouldn't be sure if I was doing everything in an optimal fashion. In particular, I haven't played with the bounding surfaces enough to know how to place them to speed the rendering.

Besides the Amiga stuff in LA, I'd love to find time to get to the NAMM show in Anaheim, as well as the Mac Expo in San Francisco. I need a clone… of me!
