Was it you who said that it was possible to limit the editing in
compositie to Toaster transitions and still edit the rest of the tape in
S-Video ?
I use the Sony R5UC as my record deck and inputing both the composite
(from the toaster) and Svideo direct from the TBCIV automatically disables
the composite input. It seems to me the only way would be to make some
kind of switchbox on the S-Video cable to set it to open whenever the
editing came to using the Toaster ie. more than the simple cuts editing.

I don't believe I'm the person who said that you could edit Toaster
transitions in composite and the other video in S-video. I am using
the DPS Personal Component Adapter along with the TBC IV's for
editing. I output an S-video signal from the PCA's S-video Program
Out to the S-input on my Pansonic AG-1960 (used as the recording
deck). I output the Toaster's composite Program Out to a composite
input on my AG-1960. By flipping a switch on the AG-1960 I can
display the Toaster Program output either directly from the Toaster
card or Toaster output from the S-video Program Out of the PCA card.
The latter is always a cleaner, better video signal and is what I
always record. I don't switch back and forth between transitions and
normal video. I record everything from the PCA's S-video Program
Out.
