At the North American Autodesk User Group 3DS breakout session at Autodesk University in SF this week a steering commitee was elected to determine what NAAUG can do to help 3DS User Groups around the world organize and share resources. At some point in time(not yet, though) we will want to compile a list of User Groups/Contacts. The members of the steering committee are: Western US Nancy White – San Francisco Eastern US Ted Boardman – Portsmouth NH/Boston MA International Michele Bousquet – Everywhere Initially I'd like to use this forum as a means of communication if there is a general consencus from the members and from the sysop. Thanks TedB

Although I am not currently a member of a local 3DS users group (personal reasons), this may be just the thing to bring users groups in my area (SF) back into line. I'm sick of waking up on Saturday morning to be given a two hour sales pitch when all I wanted to do was share ideas and resources. I thought that's what a users group is all about, not a $%*(*&ing sales seminar! Seems like this forum is not the only area suffering from salesman-itis. I would support sharing resources on this forum. I may even join our user's group. Regards, John Tissavary (La Luna cie)

Ted, I'd be interested in any information you could give me on a 3ds User's Group in the Princeton, New Jersey area. So far the closest group I know about is one that is currently forming in Philadelphia. At only 45 minutes away Philly isn't too far to go, I was just hoping that since Princeton has the highest number of architects per capita than any town in the U.S. that 3ds users must abound right in my backyard.

We have'nt started compiling any info on User Groups yet but expect to eventually get it all posted in the NAAUG newsletter. Stay tuned.

Congrats on the election to the steering committee! So what do you do in your spare time? <g> >> Initially I'd like to use this forum as a means of communication if >> there is a general consencus from the members and from the sysop. You can use the board for communication as far as I am concerned! Greg Pyros

Greg Thanks! Spare time is what I had when I was still designing houses and Post and Beam frames in New England<g>. Now I'm having fun.
