I have just recently received information regarding my opportunity to upgrade my Pagesetter to Professional Pagesetter. Though I appreciate how much you must have worked to produce PP I am disappointed that you have not properly supported the original version which I bought when it first came out. I have received nothing in the mail about the new Pagesetter Plus that you are selling to A500 people. Perhaps this is because it really isn't an upgrade. I do not understand why you have not come out with an upgrade the allows for the excellent print which is available on the 24 pin printers which are out today. I have a NEC P5XL and find the print from Vizawrite, although it has other problems to be excellent, and when I print pictures from DP II that look very good. When I print out using PS, I find that every two inches or so a very fine blank line appears horizontally across the page making the terrible fonts look even worse. Some one once told me this was a buffer problem but I couldn't understand the explanation. All I want is the problem fixed. Do I have any hope or should I start looking for another product? What about color? I appreciate your time. Barry

Barry – There are replacements for Pagesetter's Pageprint and PageIFF routines in DL8 titled PPIFF.ARC. I have used them, and they are a great improvement. I was getting embedded blank lines when printing, and these routines fixed that. NOTE! Pageprint works only from outside of PageSetter, so you have to create a page with PageSetter, save it, then to disk or RAM:, then print it with Pageprint. Jeff

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I cannot download at this time, I access on a PDP 11/73 and modem. Hopefully I'll find another way to get these. I am still very disappointed in Gold Disk Barry
