Can someone point me to a document that describes the difference between FLI
and FLC files? I'm also interested in learning more about creating these types
of files, for instance, what program makes them, what program's you can use to
play them, etc. Any assistance will be appreciated.

The flic file format has become the standard 8-bit PC animation
format. Flics are produced by 3D Studio, Autodesk Animator Pro, and
Autodesk Animator (now available as a part of Multimedia Explorer).
Flics produced by Autodesk Animator are limited to a resolution of
320×200 pixels and use the .fli extension. All other flics are
resolution independent, use the .flc extension, and can contain up to
4,000 frames.
Perfect! Just what I was looking for. FYI, we are enclosing an FLI/FLC
Player in the newest version of PC Tools, which went to production
this week. Shouldn't affect you at all, but I wanted to gather info
for our customers.
