Jack Powell & Gary Yost: It was great meeting you at Autodesk U.
last week. Jack's feedback in the wishlist session was very
helpful. It's good to know how updates develop and why or why not
they get included. (Also thanks for your patience with my two page
wishlist!)
Gary's session was a helpful intro for me into what's new with IPAS.
I can't wait to see the new stuff hit the streets. Thanks also for
the suggestions on my current project.
Take it easy.
I gather that you attended Gary's session on IPAS. How was it?
Anything you can share about it? I really wanted to go but couldn't
afford the trip.

DM: Yes I did. Gary Yost and Bob Bennett ran the presentation and
gave a good overview of how IPAS gives 3DS more capabilities and more
flexibility. Gary ran the IPAS part of the Siggraph reel to show the
basic idea of IPAS, and then demonstrated how a few routines were
operated. Some time was spent on IPAS-3 functions KXP and BXP. Gary
hinted that within a few months we may see some kinematics ala KXP.
He also promised that the IPAS SDK will be far richer than it was for
R2 (in particular, better documentation).
Thanks for the info.
I put together a nine-page handout for the seminar… I just uploaded
it to DL9 at IPAS3.TXT. It should be merged by tomorrow, something.
Great, I look forward to reading it.
Glad you could make it, David. Your wishlist added substance to the
meeting.
Jack, BTW… Nice shirt. Do you and Gary have the same tailor? <g>
