3D Studio 3 training

An associate of mine wishes to get training on release 3 of
your software. Is there any sites offering this?
Kevin, Autodesk ATC's (authorized training centers) around the country
offer 3DS training. Call Autodesk at 415/332/2344 and ask for ATC
information, or email one of the Autodesk employees here on the forum
about it.
Where are you located? There are a few folks here from the ATC system
who specialize in 3DS training and maybe we can steer you to some
training.
I appreciate the help but I work at an ATC. A frend of mine
got the chance to have the company flip the bill for some training,
but it has to be immediate. The 3DS 2 night classes at our ATC don't
end for a few weeks. Altough we have done the tutorials for R 3 and
we will offer a course soon, It isn't soon enough for him. I thought
I saw someone offering R3 training in the forum, but I wasn't sure.
Again, I do appreciate the response.
If you work for an ATC then they are bound by contract to send someone
to a PPT session of which there have been serveral 3DSr3 sessions
around the country lately. Check with the ATC manager and log onto
the ATC forum and find the next available opening. If you need more
info let me know but your manager should be keeping up to date on
this.

Can I assume this is for _full-time_ employed instructors only?

Anyone from any ATC can attend a Partners Program Training whether
they are full or part time instructors. There are others who are
qualified under the Learning Systems Group guidelines as well and the
ATC Manager should have this info from annual meeting materials
and/or the newsletter.
These PPT's are not technical sessions per se. Although the sessions
are hands-on, much of the ground covered has to do with curriculum
and instructor development for the respective software (AutoCAD, 3DS,
AutoSurf). I encourage anyone who qualifies as a Partner to take
advantage of these great, i.e inexpensive and intense, four day
programs. For more info check over on the Educational Issues Forum
11.
I'm going to contact my ATC Training manager about this as I'm the 3D
Studio "instuctor" I would certainly like to go to the "curriculum
and instructor development" related events! OH PHILIP! Are Ya'
