My office is considering purchasing an LCD Overhead Projector to put computer presentations on the big screen. There seems to be a LARGE range of prices of equipment available. Does anyone have some opinions about which LCD projectors are good/bad/worse/to be avoided. Or even better, does anyone know of a publication which has done a review of these critters lately? Incidently, I sort of think that a VGA-to-TV converter is a better way to go but my boss is unconvinced – does anyone agree with me and have any experience to bolster my position? Thanks for any input you can supply! Dennis

Dennis, My company uses a Lanier 2030v (I beleive) LCD projector to do software demonstrations for potential clients and for contractors on construction jobs we work on. We have been using it for 4 years now with *NO* problems at all (and this thing has been all around the country).. It has the capabilities of 640x480x256, video in from the PC/Laptop/VCR/CamCorder, etc.. I think it cost us about $4k. Hope this helps. If you need any more info, just ask. 🙂 -Mike

Thanks for the info – I will pass this along to the "bean counters" who are making the REAL decisions!
