since the Sony CVD-1000 is not a frame-accurate _editing_ deck it
won't be supported in 3ds. It's mainly meant for multimedia
presentations/playback, isn't it? The cheapest frame-accurate deck is
the Sanyo GVR-S950 at $2995 retail and it includes a built-in vtr
controller. All you'd need would be a framebuffer to accomplish
frame-by-frame animation. About a $4000 investment. Read the other
threads on this forum – there's a lot of fuss about motion JPEG cards
which will do realtime recording of 24-bit animations from disk to
any recording vtr (including yours) without the need for a
framebuffer, vtr controller or editing deck.
