#Registered Version?
13 messages in this thread
Jack,
Don't want to be a pest about Terminus, but I sent in my JRComm to
Terminus registration almost 2 months ago. Asked about it about a month
ago and you told me you were working out some bugs and would get the
registered version out ASAP. You did cash my check before I inquired and
apologized for it when I did inquire! I only ask now because I noticed an
upgraded demo version 2.0C! Are the registered versins going out and am I
in line real soon!
Thanks,
Rodger
If you want I could come get it! I'm looking for an excuse to come to
Atlantic City anyway (I live in Ft. Monmouth near Eatontown.)
Rodger,
I live outside of Philadelphia and received my registered version of
Terminus today, yours is probably on the way. BTW, Jack does apologize
for the delay as well as for cashing some checks before the final release,
but he does explain in the ReadMe.1st file.

Jack posted a message on his board saying that all registered versions are
now in the mail and hes on vacation…

Thanks,
I've been out of the country for the past three weeks!

Rodger,
All disks (including yours) were mailed the morning of the 9th before I
left for vacation.
I hope you got it…

Back from your Vacation so soon Jack :^) I hope you enjoyed it, you
could do with a break :^)
Should have refresehed you enough to get started at implementing RIP
within the next two weeks <BIG GRIN>
Tim,
Yes, I'd like to get started on RIP as soon as possible. Telegrafix'
BBS (RIP support) hasn't been answering though and I don't know of any
other way to get the details on RIP so that I can implement it.

Jack,
Have been looking over Terminus. One question, how do I get the
program to display ANSI graphics? I have set the prefs to COLOR and
can not view ANSI graphics as I do with ATALK.. If I can get
Terminus to do this I will send in my registration fee.

By ANSI graphics I assume you mean the IBM character set. You have
to use both COLOR emulation and COLOR palette as well as have an IBM
font defined as well as have the "Strip high bit" option turned off.
Jack,
Sorry for the stupid question. I had made two console files. When
dialing the ANSI board I attached the wrong console.config file to the
phone number. (Figures…) All is well now.. Registration is
forthcoming.

You might want to call AST. The guy that designed the emulation used to
work there and now does business with them on the side.

Jack,
Call Horizons Unlimited, there amiga BBS Program supports RIP Graphic, in
a limited way.(No Mouse support). But they have it working with graphic's.
Also there is a guy who a written a RIP Paint program for the Amiga.
Their BBS # is 602-453-9767. I'm not sure if they have any menu's setup
or not but they should have some info on the RIP Graphic's.
Oh, almost forgot, they are the new owners of the Skyline BBS System.

No, I was refering to the RIP protocol specification itself. I've since
contacted Telegraphix, their BBS was down for maintenance the few times I
called last week, and got the spec.
From the looks of it though, it's going to take some time to get it
implemented. Like everything done under MS-DOS, it's quite machine
dependant. For starters, it's aimed at EGA, which is 640×350 as well as
using EGA fonts and their weird ratios.
I don't know how well it's going to look on an OCS Amiga, or even an ECS
of AGA machine for that matter, since it's 50 scan lines short of a
640×400 display.
It's going to get worse when they revise it to VGA too…
