A forum member needs help with his setup — has anyone run into this tablet before? Animator doesn't use ADI drivers, and there are no IDR drivers for this tablet. Thanks. FROM: CARTER S. JOHNSON, 72144,711 SUBJECT: Acecat tablet Hi, I've been having some problems getting my AceCad AceCat 5 X 5 tablet to work with Animator Pro- The Autodesk Device Drivers supplied by Acecat make the tablet work in reverse. And their mouse emulator doesn't function well enough to be useful. Acecad's technicians apparently don't have any answers for me. So I was wondering if you folks have a collect of idr drivers somewhere on a BBS that I might find one my tablet can emulate- It will emulate MM961 tablets but no 12 X 12 tablets I know of. Anyway I appreciate any help you can give me.

I asked about this to the manufacturer. They said they kwew the problem with AniPro and 3DS. They solved with a new release of the card called Acecad 2 PC. With the software included you can use the Acecat in Tablet mode with both programs, but you have to configure them every time you enter from DOS. You have the fax number printed in the box. Hope this is helpfull.

The information from Ignacio about the Acecat tablet is not accurate. I have the Acecat II and it has the same problem as you originally described. I called the Acecat tech support people about it a few days ago but they were unable to provide a fix. It would be nice if Autodesk and Acecad could work out a solution.

Thanks Alec. I'll pass this message to Chris Allis here at Autodesk, who should be able to help in all of this.
