I agreed Michael that it does seem odd but have tried everything and this is the only combination that works. And as I said that was what the CIS people in Bristol suggested – well at least they agreed that unless AP sent a CR the node would not ackowlegde my presence. Actually Shraddhan from Hertfordshire (he often posts messages in the Amigavend forum) says that he uses 2 different CIS nodes and that the Birmigham one seems to act much like the Bristol one but the London one doesn't. All sounds very odd to me. John
