I am connecting to CIS using AutoPilot 1.72 and a SupraFAX 14.4 modem. About half the time when I try and connect, the modem dials the number, connects at a link speed of 38000, inputs my i.d. and password, and then immediately disconnects with the mesage "No Carrier". Often this happens several times before the connection is finally achieved and then everything runs fine. Previously I had used a PPI 96000 baud modem and never experienced this problem. Apparently I do not have the SupraFAX modem configured properly for CIS. Can anyone who is using this modem on CIS let me know what their configuration looks like? Thanks for the help. Tom P.S. I have checked with GoPhones to make sure that I am dialing in to a 14.4 node.

Thomas, Try |~AT&F2|?K~~ATDT as Initialisation String in AP's Setup requester. This works fine with my setup. I think the Link Speed gadget should be set to 19200. Hope this works. Michael Schumacher Formula 1 on Autopilot

Michael, Thanks for the help. I have modified my AP setup to conform to the initialization string you have suggested. It was slightly different from what I had. We'll see how it works. Thanks for taking the time to help. Tom
