I'm not familiar with either of those packages…but perhaps one of the

I have Time Tracker, but I can't say I'm an expert at using it. Shoot me a
question and I'll try to answer it (I can always look through the manual).

Thanks for your reply. I am currently using a form created on my PC
Wordperfect to log my daily activities. Other than scheduling which I know it
does, I would like to be able to enter my daily activities and categorize them
as well as calculating the amount of time spent. In other words, I am beginning
to start a flyer to advertize one of my services, the software notes the time I
make the entry then I indicate my completion time as well as a category for
this activity. So I can later look back and see how much time was spent on that
activity or all the activities that fall into that category. Also I would like
to use it to track my mileage. I enter my beginning and ending business
mileage, and it calculates it and reports amount of business miles as well as
personal miles and gives persentage of each.
I know that ver. 1.1 can have unlimited todo lists. I would like a todo list
to record completed items as I complete them on my activity list. Now I know
that this type of setup is probably not a default setting, but I also
understand that the software has flexibility for configuration as well as ARexx
compatability, so I believe that I could probably create a setup that would
handle this type of activity. Am I right in 'assuming' this? I hope I'm not
putting you through a marathon session with your manual with these questions.
On the other hand maybe this is helpful to you too.

This it does.

There is no "calculation" engine in Time Tracker. It is very basic. Little
more than a text editor.

You can enter an event in the scheduler and then mark it as completed, but
this is merely a notation. There is no facility to categorize activities
unless you do it manually.

Won't do it. It will tell you when an activity was started and completed,
but you'd have to do the time calculations manually. The closest it comes
to date calculations are a "Number of days between X and Y" function on
the calculator.

Again, same situation. No math functoins available.

No. This program is way, way underpowered for what you want.

Well, it made me look at the program hard enough to see that it's awfully
lame. 🙁

Thanks for the info, I was almost ready to buy it but now I'm not so sure. When
you refer to the "Test editor" are you refering to the journal/diary
capability? Also, is your version 1.1? Not that it really matters except that
my information tells me that 1.1 has "increased configurablilty for more
customization" of features. Although from what your telling me, that may only
mean more screen colors. Again, I thank you very much for the info, this may be
enough to inspire me to possiblilty author my own software for this purpose.
Would you be interested in a complementary copy?

Yes, the "Call Notes", "Notepad", "To-Do" and "Scheduler" are all just
editing windows with scrolling capability. In fact, they are all identical
except the scheduler which opens its window with a time line like this:

8:30
9:00
9:30
10:00
(I just found out that you can't even PowerSnap it).

Hmmm, no. The titlebar says V1.0. I never got any upgrade notice. In fact,
I never heard from them for anything. Yes, I did (always do) send in my
registration card.

Sure. I do use TimeTracker to help remind me of things (I have no brain
for appointments, so it has saved my skin a couple times already). I would
appreciate anything that would improve upon my current system.

I am using TimeTracker as one of my 'bootup' programs. I am only
using this for a schedual/nag type of utility though.
I have come across a program that may be of some help to you:
TimeKeep

TimeKeep is a time-clock utility for keeping track of time spent on
projects. This software can be used for keeping track of hours spent on
software development or for client billing on a per hour basis.
Clients and Projects can be defined and a time clock interface used to
TimeIn and TimeOut on a selected project. TimeKeep will remember which
project is currently in progress and will select it automatically when
the program is re-started.
In addition, TimeKeep has the ability to keep track of per hour rates and
expenses for individual projects. TimeKeep will create output files
containing this information which can be used to create invoices. As an
example, a FinalWriter ARexx script is included which will create an
invoice based on the TimeKeep datafiles.
