#Amiga-SyQuest interface
8 messages in this thread
In regard to the Amiga-SyQuest interface, What type of SCSII controller do I
need and who sells it? Is there a way to use the serial or parallel ports?
Thanks, Hector
Hector,
I don't know which Amiga you have, but if you have a 2×00, 3000, or 4000,
you would have a SCSI controller card to run your drives – up to seven of
them from the one card. SCSI cannot run from serial or parallel ports.
It has to run from a SCSI controller.
By the way, Hector – we have a full name policy on this forum. Please
stop at the Forum! prompt, type OPT, select the item for NAME, and type
both your first and last names. When you leave options, press P to make
the change permanent. Thanks.

Yes, there are several parallelport SCSI adapters available for the MSDOS
machines. If there is one for the Amiga, I haven't come across it, though
come to think of it, the machines that don't have slots for a SCSI board
would probably need a parallel port adapter, wouldn't they?

Gee, Betty, ma'am.. does that apply to small furry aliens, too?
(btw, Vic tells me you're peeved at me… tell me it's not so! 🙂

Great to see you back. I've missed you terribly, and that's enough to be
peeved about. When you went away, so did the evening COs that were always
so much fun. And it's a month before I can make the COs even if we tried.
Leaving for England on Tuesday.
That looks like a vendor number you're wearing, Eet. Is it?

Hey! It's…. it's HIM! That! Er, it's IT! There it is! <running off to

…via AutoPilot
Hey, Bent, was just thinking of you yesterday <grin>; give Anne a hug for
me.
(btw, I want a cheap interface to hook a VESA compliant SVGA card to an
A3000 for total cost per unit under $200 <duck/run> <grin> )
Get AutoPilot, or get lost!
