Has anyone discovered a way to have a #10 business envelope addressed
with an HP LaserJet 4MP and Final Writer? I set the HP for COM10 and,
tried using custom, and other settings on FW, but to no avail.

There is an Arexx macro for envelope printing with the HP printers and
Finalwriter, in the Amigavendor forum, library 12: Envelo.lha.
Put it in your FWMacros drawer. Then, just highlite the address info in
your FW doc, and activate the macro. It will do the rest.

This works OK as long as you don't want to print a long list of envelopes
and have no desire for non PCL-ROM fonts (i.e., if you want something
prettier than courier) or logos.
I've tried on several occations to get envelopes pretty-printed from any
Amiga wordprocessing or DTP program to my 4MP, and I've just plain been
unable to do it.
When trying to print envelope paper sizes.Are you sure you selected CUSTOM
as paper size in preferences. Otherwise the driver will allways set the
paper size and as the driver doesn't support envelopes…
There are three ways printing various "unsupported" paper sizes. Not all
methods work with all drivers. Here is one:
1. Set paper size in printer preferences to CUSTOM and set the wanted
paper size using the printer panel. Drawback: usualy graphic page size is
still US Letter. So either limit you gfx printing to the visible area or
forget it. For Studio users: you can rid of the problem by defining the
gfx page size using ResX and ResY in LaserPref.
2. Printing larger paper sizes can also be achived by setting a text
length that matches the wanted paper size… but this is another story and
I doubt this is of your interest…

Be sure:
a. macro in FWMacros drawer
b. that you have set up the tool type in your FW icon, so it knows
where to look for Arexx macros. ie:
MACRODRAWER=FWMACROS/
It's probably "b." that you need to implement. Select the FW icon, then
Information from the Icon pull down menu.
