#Help w/ 3.1 Install!!!

Hi, guys!!
I'm in the process of installing 3.1 on my A3000. I have installed the ROMS
chips and put together the computer, and it seems to work OK with the 2.04
workbench on my hard drive, with the expeption of the colors and preferen
preferences not being read.
The problem is when I try to install the 3.1 workbench. As the instructions
say, I attempted to boot off the install floppy, but got a Software Failure
shortly into the boot process. The same thing happened when I tried to boot oot
off the Workbench 3.1 disk. The power light flashed twice… then guru. Does
anybody know a solution to this problem?
BTW, I am using copies of the original floppies.
It seems odd that the 3000 boots fine with 2.04 WB, but not off the floppy with
3.1…. HELP!!!!

When you have an A3000 with GFORCE 040, then the problems is the old version of
68040.library. OS 3.1 contents a old version of this lib. Replace the lib with
the version from
your GFORCE install disk.
The position on Startup-Sequence with the Cross PC mounts are the guru.
When you terminated the mount line, you can boot with OS 3.1

Two problems with your theory, though:
1) I do not have an accellerated A3000. Mine is out-of-the-box, with only
RAM added.
2) I do not have Cross-PC mounted. The only driver in DosDrivers is Pipe:.
I'm sure SetPatch crashes because I can get no output from an ECHO command
I added right after it.
