PMFJI: >" It's Commodore management's fault" How silly we are to even suggest this. I'm sure Mehdi would be the _FIRST_ to tell you that it's just not true. Must have been those "idiots" that worked for him. In the end, though, it was the AMIGA users that were to blame. They just weren't loyal to the platform. 🙂 >" The media conspired against Commodore." Gee, maybe if that flawless management team had made machines and info available to write about….. >"Bill Gates forced the magazines not to write about Commodore." This is simply not true, of course, The Commodores are one of Bill's favorite bands!;-) >" The Trustees are scheming against the continuation of the Amiga." No, but these delays are _certainly_ killing the platform and it's dealer base. I'm about one week away from loosing a $30,000.00 sale because this saga keeps going, and going and going…..>: ( >" And now Dataquest is wrong." Tell me, how do you sell machines when you have no compatible monitors? by the time the 1962 and other monitors hit the streets, C= went belly up. Lack of product, combined with fence sitters waiting for cheap 4000 scsii interfaces and the "any day now" AAA chip set also had an impact. >" Any time anyone has anything to say that doesn't fit into the fantasies of Amiga zealots, it's a conspiracy or everyone else is wrong or dumb or whatever. It doesn't pay to even talk about this stuff with you folks." Siskle and Ebert don't agree on most things, yet that is what makes them fun to watch. The peaks and valleys of "truth" and "fantasy" that runs amuck on these boards keeps the reading interesting. I respect your position, and agree that some times the conspiracy thing gets tangential, but never boring. And of course it "doesn't pay" to talk to "us" folk, it _costs_ to be on a CI$ sig forum!!:-) Lighten up! BTW: I heard that Elvis flew to the Bahamas in a UFO and made an 11th hr bid on C=. Michael Jackson is his backer, and they are 99.99% sure that their bid is being accepted. 🙂 Mike Brennan, Sir Render A/V "Yea though I walk through the silicon valley of death, I fear no evil, for my faith in the Amiga (and the liquidators…NOT!) have given me eternal bytes"

And that Micheal Jackson just wanted to license the chips for his personal amuzement park.

I heard that too, but I was told that Harpo Marks was also a silent partner. I called him for a comment, but he wouldn't talk! 😉 Mike B
