I really hate the idea of "PC on a card" it destroys the ami's uniqueness!
Personally, I wish the idea'd never been thought up. 'Course, amiga's
been emulating PC/macs for years..

Why not? That way PC clones will then really become a true multimedia
computer. Hey, the nice part is that even if the PC clone part dies it will
still be a multimedia computer.

One of the best things about the Amiga is the fact, that you can have several
screens in memory at the same time.
This allows to switch the screens of different tasks in about 20 ms.
That makes it real fast. and Intuitive.
With other multitasking operating systems, you have to wait until the task's
window has been restored.
An Amiga on a PC-card would use the PC-graphics and this advantage would be
gone.

It does not need to be like that. It can be a sorta genlocked type graphics,
like the IBM /Intel Action Media card (made by Intel supported by no one).
The card can be used either in two or one monitor mode. Naw if the Amiga on a
card used such a way to do graphics that would be great. Also it might just
be a propietory card like the TIGA boards. These monsters run Windows or
anything that has a driver for it GREAT but if you need to use VGA (or less)
they suck big time.

Hey it could be great. I still won't buy it but I could convince this place on
getting one for their MultiMedia projects.
