Puppeteer and IK

My fingers are itching…
NO answer from Shcreiber Instruments yet.
Maybe I shouldn't complain, but I feel kinda betrayed.
We knew the risk of buying a Beta version, but if I had to wait that long to be
able to use IK, maybe I should have waited for R4.
They better answer _soon_ or I'll post my frustrations on CompuServe. 🙁

Hello, Hugo
I'm sorry its taken so long to get back to you, but I've been really busy
lately.
I'm sending you 15 puppets I have developed for the Autodesk 50P-man which I
hope will help you. Some of them were developed for a medical conference on
human walking patterns and stumbling responses. Please feel free to use them
if they work in your animations.
Good luck with your work, and send me a demo tape. A friend of mine, by the
name of Allan Dershowitz is looking for som help on a crime reconstruction for
a case he's working on in L.A. He's excited to talk with you.
until the next puppeteer demo,
best wishes,
-Chris
Loring,

Hi Hugo,
Sorry for the delay in responding, but Scot and I just returned from the two
week road trip along the west coast showing puppeteer and collision detection.
I think I saw some email from you as well, so let me check there for your
questions. Is there anything I can help you with to get you going with
puppeteer?
CT.
Hi Chris!
I attended your Puppeteer and Collision detection show in San Francisco and was
impressed enough with Puppeteer to buy a copy . However, I was very
disapointed to find out that your current BETA version has the joint attributes
turned off. When are the joint attributes going to be turned on Puppeteer
(BETA) . I would not
have purchased the BETA version had I known this.
Good-Bye
Hi George,
The joint constraint code is actually in the program, but was disabled when we
swithced from linear node motion to bezier motion. Version 1.05 went onto the
Schreiber BBS on Tuesday (303-759-3598) so that you can atleast get the latest
version. The 1.05 still has the joint constraints disabled, but the 1.06
version should have them re-enabled. My guess is that 1.06 should be available
by mid to late 0ctober. Also there is no charge for these upgrades, and you
should be receiving a diskette and Doc. in the mail soon.
Sorry for the inconvience, and let me know if I can help you overcome the
learning curve.
CT.
