Gems 1-4

Hi Jonas,
I went to the bookstore and took a look at the Graphics Gems books you
mentioned. Actually I could only find 2 and 4. They both looked great! I
think publishing algorithms like recipies is a really good idea.
Thanks for mentioning those,
Mark
I have all the code that came with all Graphic Gems books. I don't remember if
GGII included the code (I'm sure GGIV does). If anyone wants I can upload it
here.

That would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gus,
If this is a published work, you will need the permission of the copyright
holder (usually the publisher) to be able to upload the code to the forum. And
we legally can't accept such an upload without that permission.
The Gems books have code that is freely distributable. The author (well,
editor) maintains an ftp site on the Internet. You can find the code in the
GRAPHDEV forum if you don't want to wait for someone to upload it here. 🙂
Hi John,
If the Author/Editor/Publisher has placed the code in the public domain or
stated sucinctly that the code is freely distributable, then there is no
problem with any copyright issues.
And if the code will aid and assist you guys with your IPAS development, we'd
be happy to keep it here for you. Have Gus send it up.
I have to check. I said that based on the fact the code is all over (the good
places). As such, I would assume it can be freely distributed.
Oops, someone else already did the "checking". It will get here tonight…

Hi Mark,

My pleasure.. I like the idea of having a reusable library of written/debugged
resources. I'll try to track these down for myself.
