It seems to me that adding glows and starburst effects as post processing functions would be fairly easy. Similar to the Lensflare global effect. I cannot afford the constant update program and have been very frustrated with 3.0's strange dxf support. Will there be a maintenance update that will fix this problem?

>> It seems to me that adding glows and starburst effects as post processing functions would be fairly easy. The halo's size is controlled by I believe the light's Z-axis (it may be the X axis, is escapes me right now). Starbursts can be accomplished using the twinkle.itx. Apply it to a disk as the texture docs state. You can then track this disk to the camera so that it is always facing the camera. Fog objects can also be used for glow effects. >> have been very frustrated with 3.0's strange dxf support. IM3.1's DXF is very robust however, allowing much control over DXF import, and how individual entities & layers are imported. You'll have to ask Impulse, if there is a "maintenance update". -GreG

Daniel I am sorry that you are with out the ever present cash to move to the next level. The only way we have of servicing our client base is through this barbaric exchange of funds. A program that costs less would be no program at all, as such it costs us lots of money to do upgrades as you suggest, in the end things like a more robust DXF handler would take a longer time to reach you and it would be in the form of a major upgrade, ie Imagine 4.0. So when we reach 4.0 in May of 95, maybe the tooth fairy will have bestowed upon you the needed moola to get the next upgrade. Mike

As I remember it, tooth fairy revenue is in the $.25 to $.75 per tooth range. Gonna have to get a pet shark, and hope the old girl is nearsighted, eh? Jim Shields Regal Rodent Development
