#bizzare network problem
5 messages in this thread
We've got a bizzare network rendering problem. Rendering machine is Pentium
with 96MB RAM. When rendering as a slave machine, shadows get messed up. Also
IPAS flare does not appear where it was intended. No problems when rendering
as a standalone with file sent to local or network drive. Same file, same
frame but different results.
Is there a problem with Pentiums?

Your flare problem is probably due to your using flare.ixp instead of
flare2.ixp (the network-capable version). Is that correct?
The shadows problem might have something to do with the Pentium, but it's hard
to say. Does the file render correctly in workstation mode, and only fails in
slave mode?

We're using flare.ixp. What's flare2.ixp and how do I get/upgrade?

Hi Chris,

If you've got one of the recent (since May) IPAS Boutique catalogs, the
information about how to upgrade is on the back page.
