Karl, Hah, well, in a way it could be, I guess. You really need to talk with Dale Larson here, who is far more the network expert than I'll ever be. I think that Oxxi sells a network board which is compatible with Novell's Netware, but I think with an earlier version that is currently out.

Yeah, I'm going to get in touch with Oxxi, but I assume that whatever they sell would be compatable with version 3.1x. I am, of course, getting Dale's book just as soon as my dealer gets it in. <G> -Karl

Karl, There's also a HydraNet card, but I don't remember who makes it, and DFS ENLan had two network solutions, one software for networking only Amigas, and one which used a Network card for an Ethernet network. Both cards were around $300. Then CEI has the A4066 which is the replacement for the CBM 2066 network card. This one supports all the protocols including TCP/IP, so I understand.

Thanks for the info. -Karl

Steve, these cards don't support protocols, other than Ethernet. It's up to the higher level protocols to support the card. But with the advent (!) of the SANA II standard, any SANA II compliant protocol will support any card with a SANA II compliant driver. Makes life easier for both sides, IF they take advantage. Do get it. It's an excellent book. The biggest problem I found with it is that there's too much information in each page and you have to slow down 😎 BTW, never assume. I assumed that ACS was SANA II compliant … DJ On AP from Queens, the thrill and excitement of the Big Apple Where a little paranoia is always a healthy attitude …
