Hi, I am interested in getting a mac emulator for my Amiga 2000 that has a 68040 accelerator and a video toaster. How much would an emulator cost and what is the availability? Thanks, Carol J. Corsica

Carol, you have the perfect setup for an EMPLANT (provided you have an empty Amiga slot). Excluding system and application software and the Mac roms they cost $350-400 with all ports (serial and SCSI). The roms are pretty cheap these days (Mac II/IIx/IIcx/SE30 required). In fact if you have one of these models available you can download the rom image from that Mac. You just can't legally use that Mac and the EMPLANT at the same time. Depending on the space available on your current HD you may need to add one. Several members here including myself are using one of these and are generally impressed with the results. I'm sure others will add their comments and the designer/builder of the EMPLANT, Jim Drew, checks in here and in the Amiga Vendor (GO AMIGAV) from time to time. Good luck. Bill

I have an EMPLANT myself. I highly recommend it.
