There are a number of way to convert from FLC to AVI. You would need to tell us
what program you are using or what method you are using to convert the file
before we could give you advice.

Hello Brian, I am now using Video for Windows 1.1 's AVI edit to convert
FLI/FLC to AVI. Thanks.

P.S. Eventually, local Autodesk confirm that they can sell me the animation
SDK.
Hello Brian, I'm also interested in how to do this. I want to convert fli/flc
so that I can use them with the Movie Machine from ///FAST. It would also be
handy to go the other way, to convert avi's to fli/flc's.
Can you offer any suggestions as to how this could be accomplished?

It's funny so many people are asking me about this, I just wrote an article on
this topic for a magazine.
In a nutshell, direct conversion from AVI to FLC is scarce. Use a utility like
CVTAVI to go from AVI to a series of TGA files, and then NUMPIC or a utility
like DTA to go from the series of TGA files into FLC. That is the way to do it.

Brian,
Did you mention in your article that RAZOR for Windows can convert FLC/FLI
files to AVI and can convert AVI files to FLC and FLI. We can also convert
sequences of TGA files to AVI and AVI to sequences of TGA files.
RAZOR is $99.00 from in:sync corporation (301) 831 5008
We have a new product arriving soon which works with the PAR. It is called
RAZOR PRO and directly supports the ANI format as well as the TARGA 2000's DVM
format. It should be available in four weeks. It features more effects and
transtions than the low end version as well as the ability to composite images
which are 720 x 486 and above. We have been able to load minutes worth of
images from the PAR in three seconds – and editing is extremely easy. For more
info see the ad in the 3D Studio release 4 box or contact me here.
RAZOR PRO is $799.00 also from in:sync corporation (301) 831 5008

Jamie:
PMJI, RAZOR PRO sounds like something I must own! Could you post a press
release with a feature list?
Bob
Bob,
no problem. It'll be on compuserve later tonight.
