I've been looking for a mail order firm who handles 3-D Studio. I'm seriously
considering buying it, but would like to know what the street prices are. If
anyone know where I can order it from, I would appreciate it.

You won't find one. 3DS is sold only through dealers. There are many that
frequent this forum. Post your coordinates and one of them will say hello:-)

3D Studio is not sold through retail stores or mail-order firms, only through
Adesk Authorized Multi-media dealers. It would behoove you to find a dealer in
your geographic vicinity who knows how to use and support the program, since
Autodesk doesn't have an official support system other than this forum (most
excellent, BTW) and the dealers.
"Street" prices are not considered kosher subjects of discussion on this forum.
You can request e-mail pricing, however, if you so desire.
