Mike, Thanks for the kind words. "how to's" and tutorials is definitely the direction VTU is heading. We just had a long editorial meeting today to finalize 1995 editorial plans. Our goal is to have "at least" one tutorial on LightWave, CG, AND ToasterPaint in every issue. Add those three tutorials to the columns by John Gross, Brent Malnack, David Hopkins, and James Hebert, and you can see we are going to try to really pack the hardcore Toaster-specific info into each issue. Of course, this means we probably won't be able to continue the tradition of tough-hitting investigative reporting that we are so well known for 🙂 (see "Emperor has no Clothes" thread in this forum) Jim Plant Editor-VTU

Here, here! (or is that `Hear, hear!'?) Just be careful, Jim, that you don't spread the current talent pool too thin. It's hard to imagine that the same people can write for VTU, and write for LightWavePRO, AND create animations round-the-clock for seaQuest, Star Trek Voyager, B5, et al… at least, for the long term. So far, they are doing gangbusters! Sean Hannon Ad Rats – Stamford, CT

Sean, I know, I know. When I met John Gross several years ago, he carried an average weight of about 150 pounds. Since he started editing LW PRO (an doing all the other things you mentioned) he's lost a lot of weight. Last time I saw him he weighed about 75 pounds! 🙂 I guess you didn't know that John is not a mere mortal…he's a SuperHero! Seriously, I do worry about John. Did you know he's also writing the new manual for LightWave 4.0? I know John well enough and talk to him often enough to believe that he will let me know when it gets to be to much for him. Jim Plant P.S. I was only half-kidding about the SuperHero stuff.

Jim, Just wanted to let you know of another reader that was _extremely_ pleased to see the latest VTU looking more like the old ones! Jerry
