A new DTS/WinWord integration template/macro will be uploaded to the Okna Corp. library on September 26 and will be available as soon as it clears CompuServe's 'customs'. DTSWWDDE.DOT, Version 2.1, is a WinWord 6.0 or later template/macro based on the wildly popular version available for WordPerfect. This is the first version of the WinWord template, but in keeping with industry convention, it has been named to reflect its feature set rather than its own maturity. (It is numbered .1 higher than the current version of the WordPerfect macro as it has an enhanced feature set, including user-definable default address elements.) Included in DTSW4W.ZIP file are: DTSWWDDE.DOT, a DTS (4.0c or later) Address Book/WinWord (6.0 or later) integration template; DTSWWDDE.HLP, a comprehensive, standalone guided tour of the template, covering installation of the template, using the template, and the template itself (all menus and dialog boxes are included and incorporate extensive hypergraphic capabilities); DTSWWDDE.ICO, a DTS Address Book/WinWord icon (useful if you want to add the template to a Program Manager group or place it in your StartUp group); and README.TXT, which includes a packing list and initial instructions. 250 users downloaded Version 1.0 of the WordPerfect macro in five months; more than 150 copies of Version 2.0 have been downloaded in the last three weeks. Can WinWord users do better..?<g> David

Hank <<Be sure to post it over in the Legal Forum also.>> In a sense, this has to be considered a beta release, and I'd like to keep it a closed shop for a few weeks just to see if there are any glaring errors (OK, bugs). If nothing seems wrong, or if something is wrong and I can fix it, I'll release it wider. But for the moment, I'd like to limit it to the Okna forum. I did act on your suggestion with the WordPerfect version and ended up with about 50 downloads from LAWSIG, as compared to 130 from this forum and about 80 from WPUSERS. Assuming these numbers are repeated proportionally with the WinWord version, I am likely to get the highest download rate here, and as the forum is more intimate and entirely focused on DTS, I can perhaps be forgiven for monopolizing it for my own ends, particularly as the most knowledgable DTS users are likely to hang out here. Make sense? David
