Not only is the program next to impossible to use, there seems to be no way to
get customer support via CompuServe. Please call me at 212-757-4290. I am very
dissatisfied with DTS 4.1 which I recently purchased.
Ari,
This Windows 3rd Party 'D' Forum ("GO WINAPD") has a number of
sections/libraries set aside for the support needs of specific vendors and
organizations. The various vendors/organizations available, along with their
User IDs, are listed in the forum's "Sysop Roster" Announcement (found under
"Special/Notices", if you're using CIM or a similar access program).
I took the liberty of moving your message #47610 to its apparent intended
destination into Library 12 (Okna COrporation) and forwarded it to the User ID
on file for the Okna representatives at 71333,2161. For best/fastest results,
I suggest you contact them directly in the right section in the future.
Note that I was unable to locate any other message from you in any section of
this entire forum, to any address. If, as your message implies, you previously
attempted to reach Okna in this forum, I'm afraid I find no record of it, but
if you have a specific message number, I'd be glad to investigate.

I don't work for Okna; I'm just a very satisfied user, who finds DTS remarkably
easy to use. If memory serves, DTS was actually the first Windows application
I ever used, which implies to me at least that it couldn't have been that hard
to figure out.
On the other hand, you seem to find a well-documented, intuitive program "next
to impossible to use" and you appear to believe that "there seems to be no way
to get customer support via Compuserve".
As to the latter (as the SysOp pointed out to you), you can only get customer
support via CompuServe if you 1.) post messages, and 2.) post them in the right
place. Your difficulties figuring out this latter make me wonder about your
difficulties with the former. That said, what's the question? There are a
number of very competent people here, besides Okna employees, who would be
delighted to express opinions or offer advice, if you ask a question.
My questions to you are as follows: have you installed the software, have you
read the manual, and if you have done both of those, have you called Okna's
tech support? They're just over the river in NJ; not exactly an expensive call
for you, as you appear to live in Manhattan (calling them may even be cheaper
and certainly less frustrating than posting messages in the wrong place on
CompuServe).
I apologize if you believe this message is less than gracious, but if you post
one message in the wrong place stating that "there seems to be no way to get
customer support via Compuserve", and you appear unprepared to call tech
support yourself but seem to insist that they call you, what can you expect?
To paraphrase Avis "You have to try".

Ari,
As Mike Bessy (the SysOp) states in his reply to your message, it was posted
incorrectly so we never received it. I tried calling you today and left a
message. I will also e-mail you to make sure you receive this note.
Sincerely, Martine Carlson Okna Technical Support
