I'm interested in getting a PIM to use with WP 6.0a for Windows. I have
Windows for Workgroups on my laptop which is connected via EtherNet to one
other terminal (my assistant's PC).
How well does DTS work in this type of setup? Specifically, can my assistant
and I each make changes to a common Calendar/Address Book? If we are each
running DTS on our own, can we combine two schedules into a common file (for
instance, after I return with my laptop from a trip on the road).

DTS is not currently networked, although it will be Q1 '95. Someone else will
give you more details, but for the moment, you can obviously both access the
same data and modify it, just so long as you are not both accessing and
modifying it at the same time. As to consolidating data when you have been on
the road…to be honest, I can't remember, off the top of my head, but
hopefully someone else will jump in.
The specific reason I am responding is because I use WPWin with DTS, with great
success. I have a freeware macro in the Okna library which interfaces very
well with WPWin (it includes a comprehensive, fully-illustrated help file, so
you may want to download it just to look at the file, to see how it all works
together). Also, the new version of DTS due out any day will include a variety
of other DTS/WPWin macros, further enhancing intergration between the two.

Yes, but you can't both access the information at the same time without the
potentetial for disaster. My clients use a "master" that belongs to one user.
Any changes to the "master" are conveyed to that user. The master is
periodically copied over the other user's files.
Okna is working on a network version that many of us hope will be available in
early 1995.
