Pretty simple using skin.. Don't link the slices and use "Use Prefix" instead
of "Use Hierarchy" in Skin. This way you can rotate/move/scale your slices
without affecting the other slices..

You see, I thought that skin skinned the sliced object in the order of their
linkage and so I didn't even try that, but it does work, so thanks.

In addition to Jonas' solution, you could use a hierarchy, but use Link Info to
release the rotational link between the appropriate slices.

You should probably check out Hierarchy/Link_Info command on page 8-44. This
will let you unlink the rotation from the hierarchy.
