Does anyone know who distributes the upgrade for Phasar 4.0? I have been using Phasar since 1986 and don't know where or how to upgrade. I understand the latest release is 4.1. Help, please?

Well, I thought I was up-to-date, but mine is 4.09. As of today, I've a postcard out to Tom Marks, the author, and if I hear from him, I'll get the upgrade. However, a company in California took over Phasar and I can't find the name just now, but I'll keep looking or someone will tell us, and let you know when I find it. I'm thinking of going over to Quicken since Tom is no longer supporting Phasar. I'd love to find out that someone took over for him and that it lives, I love the damn program, been using it for 8 or 9 years and helped beta test new versions. Tom's a great guy. I used to call him and we'd spend most of the time commiserating about our lovelives. C. Davey

Is there a Quicken version for the Amiga? As I recall, the CA company was something like Oxxi or Intuitive or something. I'm sorry to hear Tom is quiting Phasar support. Too bad. Thanks for the reply. Ken

No Quicken for Amiga but I do have a BridgeBoard and that might be one of the things it ends up running. Yeah, I hated to see Tom throw in the towel too, but he wasn't making any money. C. Davey

If you get an answer, I also would like to know. I have 4.09, but the last time I called the phone number I have, it was no longer in service.

The last time I heard, Phasar was being supported by Psygnosis. I stopped using Phasar a couple of months ago because I got tired of using the antique. The people that make Ami-Back are supposed to be coming out with a Quicken clone in November. I will look into that because I would rather use my Amiga than a PC. Darold, I also use Phasar (version 4.02 which was supported by ANTIC), if you have any other info on later versions or Psygnosis (ie address, or better FAX) can you please advise. Also what info do you have on this Quicken close, are the Ami-Back people still around? Regards Leonard

I purchased version 4.1 from Psygnosis earlier this year. I don't know if they are still handling it. Apparently another company (which I can't remember there name at the moment) did the programming) Good Luck!! Let us know about any product support ( if any). !Que Viva la Amiga! I'm simply too cheap to buy the new version if an upgrade is available at a reduced fee. Thanks, Ken
