Anyone know if the Epson Stylus 800 color printer (the new 720 dpi model) will work with older Epson drivers? I know it won't take advantage of the new features, but I was just wondering if it could be used with an older Epson driver while folks await the next release of Wolf's Studio drivers.

Yes, you can also download the CanonDisk V2.2 from CIS and install as BJC user in order to get an Epson emulation driver (note: set the driver to Epson24 emulation… Epson48 emulation allways enables the Stylus economode and thus shoult only be used for fast dumps). Another idea for b/w printing might be to use the Stylus driver here on CIS. Should be faster as real ESC/P2 driver, but from seeing the driver, I don't think the quality is up to the Canon driver for color. — Wolf Faust, Am Dorfgarten 10, 60435 Frankfurt, Germany —

Wolf Are you writing a driver for the new HP 540 printer? I am using the DeskDriver4C now and it worked ok with my old 520, but I am having MAJOR problems with Final Copy II with it crashing when I print or converting to a sub-script size. Also it doesn't seem to take advantage of the 512K buffer when printing from Page Stream and that would be great. Dave Birdsong Dave Birdsong AKA MidiMan of Midiland 810 887 HELP
