Kelly, Thanks for the info. I started poking around HPP Lib 9 for a driver- haven't found one yet. I've been told about Power Print 2.5 but $99 seems a bit steep when I only need one print driver and don't need the cable. Maybe I can convince Utilities Unlimited to write a driver and sell it for half the price. Regards, John Brozycki 74364,2215

What type of printer are you trying to drive? I assume its an HP. Is the driver for the MAC side? I might be able to help.

I'm trying to print on the Macintosh side using my Okidata OL400 Laser Printer (it emulates HP Laserjets) through the Amiga's parallel port, since the Emplant Emulation allows you to assign a Mac port to the Amiga's serial or parallel port. Any help you might be able to give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and regards, John Brozycki 74364,2215

John, You will need "PowerPrint" or "MacPrint" (printer drivers) on the MAC side. Just because you are using the Amiga's parallel port to send info to your Oki, doesn't mean that Ami will be kind enough to step in translate the MAC printer data into something your Oki will understand. MACs know ONLY about MAC and Postscript Printers. To print to an HP printer you need a third party driver. …Warp Engine Engaged… -Paul-

Jim, MacPrint (for HP printers only), and PowerPrint (1000 printers supported) are both commercial products. PowerPrint 2.5 is $98.99. MacPrint is less if you can find it. …Warp Engine Engaged… -Paul-
