About my comparaison between Amax and Emplant displays. Whith Amax I can use 800×600 resolution on my Picasso-2 card. With Emplant and PicassoVideo driver the display is slower and some mouse move are not displayed very nice : on menus I can see bars on selected choices… but that is not my main problem.

I am using the Picasso II board at 832×624 under Emplant without any problems. What problems are you having? The PicassoVideo driver is slower than the direct video drivers. Try the Picasso 832×624 direct driver instead. -Jonathan // Amiga online via Autopilot. MAC Quadra 900 and \X/ 486 emulation. E-Mail: jonathanb@delrina.com

For use 832×624 I suppose that I need to create a monitor file with picassomode and it is not really friendly 🙁 I have a Mag 17" monitor which can accept this resolution. May be I doesn't need a monitor file ?

Just because the monitor doesn't advertise that screen resolution doesn't mean that it won't work…. and yes, you will have to make a new Picasso screen mode. Note that real MACs do not understand 800×600… but they do 832×624! -Jonathan // Amiga online via Autopilot. MAC Quadra 900 and \X/ 486 emulation. E-Mail: jonathanb@delrina.com

The resolution of 832×624 is specified in my monitor manual but I never understand how make a monitor file ( with doc in german and in english only ). I tried to find a monitor file on BBSs but I never found it.
