Brian, I goy yt your message on editing my startup-sequence. I think I have 4
programs that are causing trouble: One if s Magic Workbench. Two are moeddem
software programs–One called Term and the other called Terminus. One program
that seems to be causing trouble is a visu\\rus killer called
Virus-interpceptor. I'm going to type my user-startup file. ;Begin Terminus
Assign Terminus:Work:Terminus Path Terminus:add ;end Terminus ;begin Term
Assign Term:Work: ;end Term Virus-Interceptor Virus-Interceptor
Virus-Interceptor Virus-Interceptor Virus-Interceptor Virus-Interceptor ;Begin
FredApp assign Fred:T: ;end Fred App That's my file! What do you think I
soul\\\hould do with it?
Joan,
Looking at what you typed (but not following this thread too carefully)
you state you are starting both TERM and TERMINUS. Both are terminal
programs and both are looking at the same serial port (unless you have more
than one serial port). Pick your favorite of the two and get rid of the
other in your startup.
Same thing with Virus-Interceptor. Presuming you typed your
user-startup correctly…you're running it 6 times!
Your user-startup should look like this when you're done (presuming
you like Terminus more than Term):
;Begin Terminus
Assign Terminus: Work:Terminus
Path Terminus: Add
Terminus
;end Terminus
Virus-Interceptor
;Begin FredApp
assign Fred: T:
;end Fred App
