I am in the process of moving from Tokyo to Palo Alto. I was wondering if anyone knows: 1. a good Amiga dealer/service centre 2. Amiga User's Group in the Palo Alto area. Any thoughts are appreciated. Tim Budd An Amigan in Tokyo

Welcome to the area! (Moving for business, or pleasure? :^) 1. Amiga dealer/service = HTElectronics in Sunnyvale (408) 737-0900 2. User Group = FAUG – the First Amiga Users Group OTher than that, you'll find a number of local BBS's & 14.4-28.8 CIS connections. Erik Flom

>Welcome to the area! (Moving for business, or pleasure? :^) I am being tranfered from our Japanese subsidiary to the US office (pharmaceuticals). Thanks for the info. I look forward to investigating the 'local' community. Big plus is now I have an internet connection right on my desk (going to have to look into just how convenient telnetting into CIS is). Bigger plus, no more ridiculous long distance phone bills :-). Tim Budd An Amigan in Tokyo

What kind of internet connection? I think you can hook the Amiga up directly if you get a SLIP/PPP acount (Unfortunately, I use NetCom, and they don't support anything but their own front end which runs under Windows. One of these days…) 'Bigger plus, no more ridiculous long distance phone bills :-).' ….I would bet! (I'd hate to see your monthly bill over in Tokyo! ;^) Erik Flom
