#Selling A2000

Is there a classified forum where I might sell my son's Amiga 2000? Also, do you know of any service centers in Northern Virgina or Washington, D.C. area? I would like to fix up the 2000 and sell it. My son is off to UCLA and is using a multimedia IBM clone at 66mhz. He doesn't know I plan to sell the Amiga to help pay for his college. Shhhh. Odell

Odell, You can leave a message right here (in this section…#23 Classified) posting your son't Amiga for sale. You can also post a message on the national bulletin board (GO BULLET) with the same information. No idea on a service shop in DC. Don

Odell, I don't know if they're still in the Amiga business, but there used to be an Amiga dealer on U.S.1 down in Woodbridge, VA, not too far from D.C. I know there used to be an Amiga dealer out in the N.W. Maryland area too, maybe Germantown or Gaithersburg area. What's wrong with the machine that it needs "fixing up?" If you just want to sell it, post it anyway with a description of what needs to be fixed and expect a somewhat lower price accordingly. Good luck, George Roland

Hey, George, I used to visit that Amiga shop in Woodbridge. I was there whenthey went out of business, sold everything. I used to live right down the road from them. I remember a pretty big dealer in one of the newer malls inthe district. Hey, Bruce, have you been to Virginia Microcomputers recently? When I was in DC just 2 years ago, they were going out of business. Did they change their mind or something? I used to go there and look around, but I wouldn't buy much there. They still had an old copy of Sculpt 3D on the shelf with a price tag of $499.00.
