Hi James,
<< chalk up another vote for all of the above wishes! >>
in this case(3ds wishes), it doesn't help to pad the poll box..:-).. Gary is
sensitive to each wish and considers them even if mentioned once…

Hmmm. Surely he considers the wishes both individually and as a majority (kind
of like the House and Senate)?

Hi James,

Sure.. but yes and no.. I don't need 38,000 forum members.. padding the
polls… 🙂

I would like to see a modeling feature similar to the Metaform feature included
with Lightwave/Modeler 3.5 on the Amiga. I have seen some great stuff modeled
with that feature in a short period of time.
Thanks.. got it.
I've spoken to a lot of 3D Studio users here in Paris and a MAJOR wish(desire)
is to have the hierarchy that allows you to inherit transformation available in
the 3D Editor. With this functionality you can then move back and forth between
the KeyFramer and the 3D Editor without having the objects in the two modules
appear different.
That is one of the major problems with 3D Studio. The inability to make slight
adjustments to an already created object. You must go and create the object
over again. For instance if I mispelled a word in some text I would have to go
back and recreate the text rather than simply edit 'in place'.
If you could do all these things you would truely be the high and allmighty.
I'm sure there would be many people here in Paris begging for your autograph.
Thanks for listening.
Hi David,

Have you played with the difference in behaviour that 3DS exhibits when using
the "File/New/Keep-Mesh" versus "Keep-Mesh and Hierarchy"? Some of your needs
may be met with one of these two commands.
Note the page 3-19 in your ref man.
