To all those attending Autodesk University: This is an invite to those animators attending Autodesk University to come and check out RAZOR PRO, the animation compositor and post production software for editing animations and audio. RAZOR PRO is a software package designed specfically for the PAR which enables you to combine series of animations together and combine them with full CD quality audio for realtime playback and output to a betacam deck. RAZOR PRO directly supports the ANI format and using a special upgrade chip allows you to pull images off the PAR and process them in lightning speed. RAZOR PRO comes with a number of transitions and effects but also allows you to create customised wipe transitions by using simple drag and click interface to specify the direction and angle of a wipe over time. It comes with transitions which use alpha masks to create organic looking transitions as well as cross fades/luminance fades etc. The effects allow you to alter the animations in a variety of ways from simple colorization/tint/brightness/contrast type effects to more complex glass/emboss/displacement effects. In addition RAZOR PRO accepts Kai's Power tools as plug-ins as well as Aldus Gallery Effects and other third party plug ins. In the next couple of months additional plug-ins will be available from other third party developers including Elastic Reality. Stop by the DPS booth. I look forward to meeting you at the show. >>>This is an invite to those animators attending Autodesk University to come and check out RAZOR PRO, the animation compositor and post production software for editing animations and audio.<<< I'm looking for more information on your system. 1. Does RAZOR PRO include any hardware? 2. What kind of hardware does it require? The PAR I know, but what about audio cards? 3. Does the program digitize the video off the PAR to .avi files for playback on the Windows screen. 4. What does the upgrade chip do? Where does the chip go? RAZOR PRO sounds life a NLE for the PAR, is this a correct assumption?

I talked to Jamie about this thing. It sounds extremely cool. Works with you PAR drive while in WINDOWS. This thing could really dress up the PAR output. SW

Hi Jamie, I have just purchased a CD-ROM that comes with RAZOR & Matisse. I also have a a DPS PAR. I assume that RAZOR PRO is a special or more functional version of RAZOR. How can I get an upgrade ? P.S. : I only ordered the CD_ROM three days ago and have not even received that order yet. Thanks in advance. Doug Vaughan
