Dear Gary, I just got R4 yesterday (went hungrily to my dealer a couple of hours after they called to say they just got it in). The first tutorial I tried was "Randy, the Walking Egret." I immediately ran into problems. I tried following the instructions three times and encountered the same problems: 1) I got the left leg moving OK up to page 87 of the manual but the right leg instructions say to click on END and then "R.Foot" and then hold down the ALT key and click on "L.Thigh". When I did, the status line did say that L.Thigh was the "Start" but R.Thigh and R.LOwer Leg were not highlighted as described at the top of page 88. And when I clicked on OK and then went to the Interactive window, the right leg was not even close to moving properly. Also the "check" for the end effector to follow the motion only (described on page 85) is supposed to keep the foot from dipping below the floor. But if I generate keys after setting up the left leg and run the animation in the Front view of Keyframer, the foot dips below the floor on frames 79, 80 and 81. Was there a documentation problem or what went wrong? Can you duplicate this? Thanks Gary, Peter Nowell 70534,1374
