#Disappearing faces ???
5 messages in this thread
I am trying to do a close up fly through of a circut board I built. The board
looks fine at a distance but close up on my fly through the nearest faces to
the camera seem to dissappear ( you can see right through to the backround).
And no my camera is not going through the middle of them
I've tried changing the lens mm but the only thing that seems to work is moving
the camera away to an unacceptable distance.
Help….

Your z-clipping threshold is too high for the distance from you camera to those
objects. You've got two options: 1) lower the z-clip threshold (which may do
it, depending upon how small your scene is); or 2) scale everything up in your
scene.

Thanks, I stumbled on that one…
By the way, check out the November issue of Computer Graphics World…

Has the November issue come out yet? I'm looking at the October issue, but I
can't remember if I've gotten Nov yet.
hmmm… I assume you've got something in there. Which piece?

PMJI, Peter, but where did to get the November issue of CGW? I've heard they
changed the logo, but I couldn't find it at CompUSA, Barnes & Noble, or
Crown…
