I would love to have more control of lights.
since the IPAS concept really seems to work with other thigs (competition is
good for the soul 🙂 ] , How about a light IPAS "LXP" . I'm sure the
developers would eat it up.

David,
This is an interesting idea. What kinds of functions would an LXP perform?
>This is an interesting idea. What kinds of functions would an LXP perform?
All kinds of things. ie. 1)Make all the normals on an obj. shadow casting
lights
2)Make parallel lights (like IMAGINE has)
3)Make self illum. objects truly illuminating
(and shadow casting)
4)all kinds of interesting "glow" effects
I'm sure that given time, I could think of dozens more, and the IPAS programers
out there are a pretty creative lot.
See ya'

Considering that lighting is such an important aspect of animation, I think
that the more control and options we have with lights, the better off we are.
Keep them ideas rollin' !

Thanks for the note. BTW what does MINDSCAPE do? -David
>> BTW what does MINDSCAPE do? <<
It changes its name when it finds out that it chose a name someone else is
already using! <satire>
We (we being mostly me) do animations of all sorts, from architecturual to
entertainment, etc. How about yourself?

>We (we being mostly me) do animations of all sorts,
That pretty much says it about myself.
I'd like to see some of your work.
Bye (for now)

Likewise!
Well, I have plans (hopes) to redo my demo tape – now seriously outdated.
Fortunately, work keeps preventing me from getting to it! I'll probably post a
note up here when I get it done.
