How do you instruct Puppeteer to load more nodes from a VPM file other than the standard body parts? I have some custom motion files that have twice the normal data, ( more nodes), and I can't figure out how to bring them into Puppeteer. Any help on this would be appreciated. Roy Baker.

The VPM format was setup by Viewpoint and is fixed in the number and type of nodes used. Did your motion come from BioVision? If not, we will need to see a file to figure out how to load the motion. It may work in one of the other eight formats. Keith.

Yes, my motions came from BioVision but I had them add in double the normal number of nodes. The extra nodes were necessary due to complexity and high degree of control that I need. I have successfully re-written some of the VPM motion files into an AOA format with a few Word Perfect Macros and after I get a few animations cranked out I will write an executable to do the job automatically. If everything works out then some of the animations will be included in the BioVision spot on Good Morning America next week. Check your BBS for a copy of my file. You will see the original puppet that was created with the VPM format, but not the new converted AOA. Roy Baker.

I did get to see the motion and the model you sent Tom. The motion does look very good. We will be adding the ability to read BioVisions format directly soon which will make the process quicker. I look forward to seeing the final animation. Keith.

Keith, Thanks for all the help that you and Tom gave me. I have developed a work flow that works very well. The motion on the characters is unbelievable. The Puppeteer/Bones Pro combination rivals any character animation that I have seen produce on the other packages. Roy Baker.

Thank you for the positive feedback. It is good to see people having success with the software. It is, after all, why we write the software in the first place. Most of the time we only get the negative feedback. Keith.
