World Builder, World Builder, World Builder.

World Builder is actually made by Animatek, but is sold by Digimation. There is at least one sample image on the IPAS library, and I have a few sample animations I can upload as well (showing how to combine WB with 3DS).

Neil, I made a really small animation (just my Martian landscape with spaceship landing) that shows merging animations from 3DS with WB with shadows and it's over 4 meg compressed! It's really not all that spectacular (more illustrative) and I hate to see someone spending the money to d/l it — maybe I could put a warning on it.

If you don't think you're ready to show it yet, don't worry. I know it takes time to get used to a new program. WB is just an ongoing interest of mine. If anything cool is produced, I'm sure you'll upload it anyway. – Neil

No it is actually written by Animatek, the company respinsible for Bonbes Pro, Tetris and El Fish. Digimation is their distributer. Lee

>> optimum terrain generator for 3ds << Have a look at Vista Pro. You can find sample images in the VRLI section of the GRAPHVEN forum. The program cost about $120, can create fractal landscapes as well as use USGS and NASA data. Writes DXF files. -Cal Haines

Y'all, Vistapro is now just a toy compared to WorldBuilder. I've got both and WB is truly amazing. Grass with proper shadows that moves in the breeze, water ripples, fog, that sort of thing. I'll upload some more samples over the weekend. Later everyone!

Mark…Hello again from Kevin. Could you upload a still of a "Worldbuilder" example? I've been kickin' around buyin' this one, would like to see what it can and can't do. Thanks loads…Kev

No prob! I am still trying to find some time to generate some WB samples with 3DS objects in them. I try and get to it ASAP. Cya!
