Hy Bob! This Job is quite a big nut for 3D beginner. Bob I need a little help. My function "confirm to sphere" of my Amiga Imagine works not that correct. I have to scale the large continents like Eurasia in the 3DS. The problem … they are liing perfectly on a sphere. Normaly fantastic. Now I have to move pices of outline in the right position ( Viewpoint Globe "H" is my reference and my self buildet koord. system). Because I have to move exactly on the sphere I only can use the rotate functions in the 3 viewports. After that the meshes look terrible. I have to correct a lot of faces. When rendering with default material a lot of faces are looking different shadet. I started to create new faces by hand. Thats better. It works. But it is not perfect. I used "Objekt autosmooth 30 "… but it is not perfect. I used "unify normals" … but not perfect. Can you help me with that? I only rotated the faces and never moved once, so the distance to the axis must be the same. (I think). Also I welted the verticies a few time. What can I do? Anselm

Anselm: Your methods seem proper. Perhaps on the 'normals' question you could just live with rendering two-sided ON? It will be slower rendering but may save you from individually flipping some faces. I would try a few different settings for the autosmooth angle if you aren't getting decent results. – Bob Ritger
